Dear Dental Professionals:
This special website was created in order to introduce you to the Apollonia
way of dental practice, and to show you the career advantages you will gain when
you join us in building the best dental practice group in America!
We offer three possible relationships: 1) associate
positions, 2) professional partnerships, or 3) an
independent space-sharing solo group arrangement.
Either way, your practice and your life will be improved as we all work together
toward our mutual success.
All Apollonia dentists and other team members enjoy participation in Apollonia sponsored continuing education and practice
management seminars, group health and 401(k) retirement plans, and have full access to Apollonia's extensive library of practice
management knowledge and technologies--it's all part of the deal.
If you are a dental professional who is looking for a place to grow personally,
professionally and economically, and to be recognized for your talents and
skills, this may be the opportunity for you. Working with us could be
a real good way to develop your talents. Call us at (661) 831-9024 and tell
Michele you are a dentist interested in working with us. We will get the
basic information from you and will arrange an interview in Bakersfield.
If you wish, you can FAX your information to us at (661) 836-1242 or
E-mail to ApolloniaGroup@aol.com and we
will contact you from there.
I look forward to meeting with you soon.

ASSOCIATE DENTISTS
As an Associate Dentist at the Apollonia Dental Center,
you can look forward to
earning a growing income, while learning first hand from some of the best
dentists in the profession. Your income will be based on your current
level of productivity, and will rise as your clinical, diagnostic and
communication skills allow you to become more effective in completion of
clinical care, treatment planning and case acceptance.
For most younger dentists, your greatest need is
to focus on clinical skills development. During this phase of your career,
you will work with senior partners who can assist you with diagnosis and
treatment planning, case development and presentation, and patient case
acceptance. As your skills improve, and you become more productive, the higher your
compensation will rise. Typical new graduate salaries
average $75,000 to $125,000 or more, based on a minimum daily compensation with
bonuses in accordance with our PayPoint™
Team Compensation System.
Because the Apollonia Dental Center is not a "managed care clinic", we are looking for career oriented dental
professionals who may be early on in a lifetime career of constant learning and
never-ending improvement. The rewards of a life career in dentistry are great,
and they require hard work and dedication to achieve. Working closely with senior
partners, who have your career development in mind, is the time-honored and best way to earn your
way to a satisfying career in dentistry.

PROFESSIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
More experienced dentists may want to partner as an
equal owner of the Apollonia Professional Corporation ("PC") along
with other Apollonia dentists. The PC owns the primary professional
dental practice and has complete control over it's management and
operations.
PC retains 50% of practice collections, which is used for professional
dentist and dental hygienist salaries, laboratory and dental supply costs.
The other 50% is paid to TAG and is used for facilities, office supplies and
utilities, marketing, managment systems, staff payroll and benefits.
For example, say a two-doctor partnership brings
in $100,000 in a month. After paying $50,000 to TAG for advertising,
facilities, supplies, general business expenses, staff, etc., there is $50,000 left for
professional compensation, labs, and consumable supplies. With proper management of staffing and lab expenses, plus the
contribution from associates, there should be substantial compensation for
partners, generally around $12,500 monthly for each of the two partners in this
example.
Partnership in the PC does require an investment, and the investment is
similar to that
required to purchase or build a small practice on your own, but the value is greater
because you will be part of a large and growing practice, using the latest in
equipment, staff, and management systems. You can gain so much more from the expertise and collaboration with your other
partners. Partnership also
requires approval by current PC partners. The investment may be made
in cash, may be made through equity by merging your
existing practice, or may be financed by third parties.
More importantly, PC
partners stand to gain when new partnerships are sold to future partners, thus
the more you can contribute to the growth of PC, the more you will gain above
and beyond your own earnings as a dentist.

SOLO-GROUP SPACE SHARING
If you desire more independence, you may wish to
join Apollonia in a solo-group space sharing arrangement. You can choose
how many operatories you wish to use, and how many days you want to use them
(subject to availability). By sharing expensive facilities and other critical costs, you can grow your
practice in a modernly equipped dental care facility at a fraction of the cost
of "going alone".
Because Apollonia Dental Center facilities rents "by the operatory" and "by the day",
there is total flexibility to accommodate your practice needs today, as well as
tomorrow. There is no long-term lease
required, and no "covenant not to compete", so you will not be boxed
into a relationship you don't want if your needs change down the road. We divide each week day into two
"work days" (the morning ends at 2:00 PM when the afternoon starts), with one additional "work
day" each Saturday and Sunday. Thus, in a single 4 chair facility,
there are 12 "work days" available, allowing efficient space and
equipment utilization. Apollonia can rent you a better facility, better
equipped, and in a better location, for about half of what you would pay
to do it yourself. Best yet, you don't have any of the headaches or risks
of building it yourself!
For example, you
could start your own practice from scratch for as little as $125 a
day for a single operatory. As your practice grows, four or more operatories are only $100 a
day each.
